took this today. the beautiful henna is an original design by the henna honey of philadelphia. she was a lovely woman from whom i learned a lot.

and before anyone says anything about cultural appropriation, the reason behind me getting this henna was to support an individual who wishes to make money doing what she loves, which is making her own henna designs and drawing them on people.
i am aware of the origins of henna and the associations that it has, and i respect those origins. i am not trying to offend anybody. i think that, like many parts of many cultures, henna is something to be appreciated by all and has grown to have more purposes than just the traditional ones. you can read about the traditional use of henna as body art here: [link]

Firstly, this is amazing and she is SO BEAUTIFUL.
In my opinion, everything about this picture is flawless. <3 Well done.
So saying that, this has given me inspiration for an assignment I had... So it's not as cool c: But still.
